Zion Evangelical United Church of Christ Memorial Portals
Dear Friends of Zion,
Thank you for inquiring about the "Memorial Portal" program of Zion Evangelical United Church of Christ. Through this program, major entrances into the building and selected interior doorways are available for a donor to honor their Zion Heritage by recognizing a family or an individual member of a family, through the dedication of a church portal in their honor. This recognition will be by a memorial placard placed on the door at the portal and by a certificate of dedication given to the donor. In addition, a service of dedication will be held for all those honored.
For your review, there are links provided on this page to the following items:
- "Memorial Portal List" indicating the doorways available for dedication and the suggested donation amount.
- Floor plans of the Lower Level, First Floor and Second Floor, which identify the locations the various doorways by a number (such as "A", "1A", "2A", etc.)
- "Memorial Portal Donor Form" to be completed if you wish to memorialize a loved one at one of the portals.
These documents can all be printed for your convenience. After reviewing the documents, if you decide to memorialize a portal, please complete the Memorial Portal Donor Form and return it with your donation to the church office to the attention of Wally Driskell, Bookkeeper. You will be furnished a receipt designating the amount of your contribution for annual tax purposes. Funds donated will be used to restore and update various entrances and doorways within the building, so that the building can continue to serve future generations and the community.
