Summer camps are over for the summer of 2008, but here is some information you might want to look over to help you decide what camp session you would like to be a part of in 2009...

For those who may not be familiar with the camps offered at Merom, here are the dates and brief descriptions of each camp session:

Faith Journeys: Faith Journeys is actually 3 camps within one week. Genesis campers are children entering 3rd, 4th & 5th grades. Junior High campers are children entering 6th, 7th and 8th grades. Senior High campers are youth entering 9th—12th grades and 2008 high school graduates.

All Ages 2: All Ages is one camp for children entering 3rd grade up though 2008 high school graduates. Discussions and whole group events are designed “family style” with all the grades together. Age-specific activities are often scheduled throughout the week.

Grades 3-4-5: Grades campers are entering 3rd, 4th & 5th grades. This is a partial week for campers that are ready for their first experience of being away from home.

Tri-Level: Tri-Level is also 3 camps within one week. Junior campers are children entering 4th, 5th & 6th grades. Mid-High campers are children entering 7th, 8th & 9th grades. Senior High campers are youth entering 10th grade through 2008 high school graduates.

All Ages 1 & 3: All Ages is one camp for children entering 3rd grade up through 2008 high school graduates. Discussions and whole-group events are designed “family style” with all the grades together. Age-specific activities are often scheduled throughout the week.

Backstage Pass: Backstage Pass campers are entering 9th grade through 2008 high school graduates. Along with typical camp activities, this group designs and prepares the set for the Creative Spirit camp week.

Creative Spirit: Creative Spirit campers are entering 7th grade through 2008 high school graduates. Along with typical camp activities this group uses their talents for putting on an end-of-week show. Parents, pastors, family and friends are invited to the show.

Just You & Me, Kid: Just You & Me, Kid campers are children and adults together. This camp is designed for a child to attend with a trusted adult (parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, friend) to begin experiencing summer camp. This group is also part of the audience for the Creative Spirit’s show.

Common Ground: Common Ground is for young adults, 18 and older. This camp offers the opportunity to return to the summer camp setting when they have “aged-out” of all the above camps. Discussions are focused on issues that face our young adults.
