“The mayor of Wuhan, the city at the center of the viral outbreak, said on Sunday that there could be about 1,000 more confirmed cases of the mysterious illness in the city — a sign that the country’s monumental efforts to halt the disease may only just be starting.” – The New York Times, 01/26/2020

Dear Friends,

Please pray with me this week for all those suffering from the recent coronavirus outbreak. Pray with me for those who have already been infected, those who are ministering healing to them, protection from the virus for everyone else, and for those working to find a cure.

“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” (Isaiah 41:10)

A Prayer
Merciful God, hear our fervent prayer for all who are suffering from the recent coronavirus outbreak. May those who are infected receive the proper treatment and the comfort of your healing presence. May their caregivers, families, neighbors, and everyone else be shielded from the onslaught of the virus. Give solace to those who grieve the loss of loved ones. Protect and guide those who strive to find a cure, that their work may conquer the disease and restore communities to wholeness and health. Help us to rise above fear. We ask all this in the name of your Son, Jesus, Amen.
