Zion Art Initiative

Since Zion is adjacent to the flourishing arts community on Massachusetts Avenue, the church has also embarked on a mission to commission art works by local artists. In 2013, Zion commissioned a painting to enhance the beauty of the church. Kyle Ragsdale was selected to provide a painting for the church foyer. The painting “Be Still My Soul” was commissioned in memory of Judge John W. Hammel, a long-time member of Zion.
